[Verse] It’s not the stone of the foundations or the buildings so tall It’s the hands of his people that catch you when you fall Not the paint on the walls that echo all of our prayer It’s the love of gods people The ones who truely care [Chorus] Oh Jehovah's holy Spirit soothes my shattered heart and mind tonight Jehovah God Lifts me up guiding me through the darkness with his holy light Not using just a book or just a building wide But with the Spirit of God's never ending love That lives so deep inside [Verse 2] With the bible it is not the page or the ink that is the one to speak It’s the power of the holy Spirit moving within the humble and meek It’s not from the words carved deep in line It’s the power that calms this broken heart of mine [Chorus] Oh Jehovah's holy Spirit soothes my shattered heart and mind tonight Jehovah God Lifts me up guiding me through the darkness with his holy light Not using just a book or just a building wide But with the Spirit of God's never ending love That lives so deep inside Verse 3] Not the hymns we sing not the padded wooden pews It's the warmth that rises when the truth breaks through Not the pages faded or the worn leather spine It's the whispers of jehovahs grace in a love that is truely divine [Bridge] It’s in Jehovah God's touch It’s in the smile of his people The Spirit walks with us to each door going each and every mile Not the building where we take our place But the grace that fills this place of prayer this sacred space [Chorus] Oh Jehovah's holy Spirit soothes my shattered heart and mind tonight Jehovah God Lifts me up guiding me through the darkness with his holy light Not using just a book or just a building wide But with the Spirit of God's never ending love That lives so deep inside [Outro] Oh Jehovah God's holy Spirit soothes my shattered heart and mind this night Jehovah God Lifts me up guiding me through the darkness with his holy light He is Not using just a book or just a building wide But he leads us with the Spirit of God's never ending love That lives so deep in each of us inside
