REDLINE

(You keep saying this is stupid...) (with your fingers laced in mine...) [Verse 1] There's an exit coming up, we let it disappear behind. Every warning light is burning, so we turn the music high. Like if we can't hear the engine, we can tell ourselves we're fine. [Pre-Chorus] Every light says slow down, but your fingers tighten mine. One more exit disappears, and we cross another line! [Build] Dashboard glowing red, your hand still over mine. We could stop this right now... but neither one of us tries! [Chorus: First Impact] We know where this ends, we can see it in the headlights! If we're going down tonight, PUSH IT TO THE REDLINE! [Post-Chorus] PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) PUSH IT! PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) [Verse 2] You don't reach across like you did, when the silence gets too loud. I stop asking where we're going, 'cause I think we both know now. [Break] There's a crack across the windshield, right between your face and mine. Funny how we call it staying, when we're only buying time. [Pre-Chorus] Every light says slow down, but you're staring straight ahead. One more exit disappears, and neither one of us says it! [Build] Dashboard glowing red, you don't look at me this time. We could stop this right now... but neither one of us tries! [Chorus: Bigger Impact] We know where this ends, we can see it in the headlights! If we're going down tonight, PUSH IT TO THE REDLINE! [Post-Chorus] PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) [Bridge] Maybe we're not scared of crashing... maybe we're just scared to stop. 'Cause the second that we slow down, we'll see everything we've lost. Don't call this losing control, we've been choosing it all night. If this is the last time you hold me... don't take your hand off mine. We could stop this right now... But neither one of us tries. [Final Build] Dashboard glowing red! your hand back over mine! We could stop this right now! but we're already out of time! [Final Chorus] We know where this ends, we can see it in the headlights! If we're going down tonight, PUSH IT TO THE REDLINE! [Drop] PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) [Final Chorus] Dashboard glowing red, your hand back over mine! We could stop this right now, but we're already out of time! We know where this ends, we can see it in the headlights! If we're going down tonight... push it to the redline! [Outro] PUSH IT! (REDLINE!) (REDLINE!) [Hard Stop]
