[Verse] She's standing by the door under the mistletoe, Waiting for the mailman to come by tonight An invisible gift wrapped in dreams She's waiting for him. It's Christmas time [Verse] Everyday the same old routine Looking for that magic in the invisible Eyes wide open eager heart beating fast Will the gift she wants finally come? [Chorus] Waiting for the mailman day after day Hope wrapped in an empty box Waiting for the mailman under the snow She just wants him to look at her, Christmas magic. [Verse] Snow falls silently outside her door Hopes and dreams scattered on the ground A knock a bell a long awaited sign She just wants to see him, it's almost time [Chorus] Waiting for the mailman day after day Hope wrapped in an empty box Waiting for the mailman under the snow She just wants him to look at her, Christmas magic. [Bridge] Cold, clear midnight air Christmas wishes bringing joy Under the stars he looks at her smiling He forgot his package, he'll have to go back.
