Desnuda… sii desnudaa… desnudaa… With the fear felt by one who falls from a great height, I have written my verses— can you imagine such madness? I laid my soul so bare that I felt completely exposed; I have no secrets left— my life is now public. Am I a coward? Have no doubt about it; after all, I know neither how to write nor how to love… that is the plain, unvarnished truth. I used to hide within my writing, behind a wall that no one ever discovered, yet at times I felt I was drowning— I need a poem to cover me! Deep down, I was cheating; I disguised my words and used an umbrella to shield myself from the torrential rain— I don’t know if these were lies, or if it was the mirror itself that held doubts. Am I a coward? Have no doubt about it; after all, I know neither how to write nor how to love… that is the plain, unvarnished truth. I laid my soul so bare that I felt completely exposed; I have no secrets left— my life is now public. And so, I write my verses while falling from a great height, gripped by this fear— the fear of feeling so exposed. Exposed… yes, exposed… exposed…
