[Verse 1] Six days the earth turns in toil and labor Fields and cities call out our name As the sun goes down and the Sabbath comes The fading light calls us to rest We cease from the work of our hands And remember the day that You set apart Blessed and holy from the beginning A refuge and promise in Your command [Pre-Chorus] Not made for bondage or heavy load A covenant written, Your promise stands [Chorus] Shabbat Shalom, Shabbat Shalom The Peace of the Lord is here A sign between You and Your own A covenant that remains Shabbat Shalom, Shabbat Shalom Rest for the weary soul We cease from striving, we rest in you We remember your holy word [Verse 2] We gather together before Your face A holy convocation called Your law a light, Your ways our joy Your Sabbath a gift to us all As was His custom, so likewise we do Opening the scriptures, walking in Your ways Bread like manna, sweet upon the soul Healing flows and burdens fall As the light of Your truth instructs us all [Bridge] Turn your heart from your own way Call the Sabbath a delight Honor the day the Lord has made But by resting in His promises sure we stand From Sabbath now to the age to come All flesh will worship You From Sabbath day to Sabbath day All nations bow to You [Pre-Chorus] Not made for bondage or heavy load A covenant written, Your promise stands [Chorus] Shabbat Shalom, Shabbat Shalom The Peace of the Lord is here A sign between You and Your own A covenant that remains Shabbat Shalom, Shabbat Shalom Rest for the weary soul Shabbat Shalom! Shabbat Shalom! We rest in You! We rest in You!
