In Your Strength

[Verse 1] You set my heart at ease in the night, so still Crowned me with light I could never will You knew the wish before I breathed the word Gave me life like days that never blur [Pre-Chorus] I won’t be moved by the shifting sky I rest secure in the Most High Your faithful love—my steady ground When all goes quiet, You’re the sound [Chorus] Be exalted in Your strength, O Lord I’ll sing Your power, sing Your power Joy in Your presence evermore I’ll sing Your power, sing Your power [Verse 2] You meet me first with blessing on blessing Gold on my head, Your mercy confessing Glory wrapped up in the rescue You bring Face to my face, and my soul starts to sing [Pre-Chorus] I won’t be moved by the whispering night Held by a love that holds me tight The Most High keeps me, won’t let go My breath in rhythm to what You know [Chorus] Be exalted in Your strength, O Lord I’ll sing Your power, sing Your power Joy in Your presence evermore I’ll sing Your power, sing Your power [Bridge] They draw their lines in the smoke and haze But You unmake every wicked maze Arrows they aim fall back in the dark Your hand finds plans and turns them to sparks [Verse 3] You lift my eyes where the dawn runs gold Goodness and love like a story retold I taste the hope that You set before me Safe in the shelter of Your glory [Chorus] Be exalted in Your strength, O Lord I’ll sing Your power, sing Your power Joy in Your presence evermore I’ll sing Your power, sing Your power [Outro] High above all, yet near as my breath Love that outlasts the ache and the rest Be lifted high—my midnight song Strong is the Lord, and the night is gone
