Crazy World

Every morning... I hear the same old news, Another man is angry... with something to prove. A mother sends her children... out into the street, And tells them to be careful... of the people they might meet. They talk about tomorrow... like it belongs to them, While somebody tonight... is wondering where to sleep. We know something's wrong here... but we carry on, Turn up the radio... and wait for it to be gone. Tell me, Lord... what are we becoming? When did we learn... to look the other way? How can we sleep... while somebody's calling? And nobody answers... anyway? It's a crazy world... And sometimes I don't know... what to believe. It's a crazy world... So many people hurting... with nowhere to turn. We say we're moving forward... but look at where we are, Still fighting over borders... under the same sky. They tell us who the enemy is... before we know his name, Tell us who to follow... and call it part of the game. A man can lose his freedom... without leaving his home, And someone can feel lonely... even when they're not alone. Some people have a voice... that reaches every door, Some people keep on speaking... but nobody listens anymore. And when the trouble passes... we say we didn't know, But we saw what was happening... and chose to let it go. It's a crazy world... And sometimes I don't know... what to believe. It's a crazy world... So many people hurting... with nowhere to turn. We say we're moving forward... but look at where we are, Still fighting over borders... under the same sky. What are we teaching... our children? What are we leaving... behind? It's a crazy world... Lord... It's a crazy... world...
