I asked and God delivered Held fast to His word Remove what’s not for me He took you, now ain’t that absurd? I remember when I cared about feeling soft for a man fluffy, frilly and shit Not knowing the dirt behind my back, through which I’d have to sift Finding peace after piece From lie after lie Bittersweet revelations Just falling from the sky I asked and God delivered Held fast to His word Remove what’s not for me He took you, now ain’t that absurd? I clung to you with all my might Not realizing your demons I would have to fight Thought this was perfect Too good to be true I asked and God delivered Held fast to His word Remove what’s not for me He took you, now ain’t that absurd?
