Roll the Stone Away

[Intro] [Instrumental] [Verse 1] The message came like a stone through the door Your friend is sick, and the night is long Mary held the words till her hands went numb Martha watched the road, but You did not come [Pre-Chorus] We said, "If You had been here" We said it through the tears [Chorus] Jesus, You are Lord when the grave takes breath God with us in the wreckage, Savior over death You do not turn away from the ones who mourn You stand beside the broken, and You weep with us [Instrumental Interlude - 12 bars] [Verse 2] Four days buried, the doorway sealed A sister's faith bruised but not concealed You asked where he lay, and the whole earth shook The Maker of life looked into the tomb [Pre-Chorus] No distance, no disguise Could hide the grief in Your eyes [Chorus] Jesus, You are Lord when the grave takes breath God with us in the wreckage, Savior over death You do not turn away from the ones who mourn You stand beside the broken, and You weep with us [Instrumental Interlude - 12 bars] [Bridge] I believe You are the resurrection I believe You are the life Even here, beneath the silence Even here, beneath the knife Not a teacher, not a memory Not a name we use to cope You are Christ, the Son of God The living door, the living hope [Breakdown] Roll the stone away Roll the stone away [Chorus] Jesus, You are Lord—call the dead by name God with us in the ashes, Savior still the same You do not turn away from the ones who mourn You stand beside the broken, and You weep with us [Solo] [Instrumental - searing dissonant guitar solo, 12 bars] [Final Chorus] Lazarus, come forth! At the word of the King Lazarus, come forth! Let the grave release its sting Jesus, You are Lord Jesus, You are God Jesus, You are Savior Death is not the end when You call [Outro] I have seen the stone move I have heard the silence break Though my hands are still trembling I will trust the name You gave Jesus, Lord and Savior Jesus, Lord and Savior [Instrumental]
