(Chains of Flame) [NDC]
ENGLISH AT THE BOTTOM ________ A tormented monk ascends a sacred mountain, seeking purification from the guilt and illusions that bind him. There, he encounters Fudō Myō-ō, the Immovable Wisdom King, who confronts him not with wrath, but with a flame that reflects truth and a sword that cuts through illusion. Through this trial, the monk faces his inner darkness, realizing that the fear and chains were his own creation. In surrender, he is transformed — silent, purified, and steady like the mountain itself. FUDŌ MYŌ-Ō (chant): Nomaku Sanmanda Bazara Dan Sendan Makaroshada Sowataya Untarata Kanman MONK: This rope tightens round my throat, This fire lights up my sins. My mistakes, My shadow… Must I be broken To be made pure? FUDŌ MYŌ-Ō: Break. Then burn. Burn. Then be still. Be still. Then return.
