Switchback Moon - WIP

[Verse 1] I left the town below With half a tank and a map Passed guardrails, gravel, black glass Yeah, it was time to take a lap The radio fades out As the trees lean in and stare Your last text in my pocket Still hanging round in the air [Pre-Chorus] Every curve says hold on Every mile says go Headlights cut the dark As the valley drops below [Chorus] Switchback moon, let me roam Switchback moon, don't let go Round and round this road I know Switchback moon, take me home (Go on) (Go on) [Verse 2] A deer by the shoulder Then gone in a flash of light Cool rain on the windshield The dark got me lookin' for a fight I curse your name twice Like a charm in the cab If I miss that last turn baby Yeah, I'd bet you won't be sad [Pre-Chorus] Every curve says hold on Every mile says go Headlights cut the dark As the valley drops below [Chorus] Switchback moon, let me roam Switchback moon, don't let go Round and round this road I know Switchback moon, take me home (Go on) (Go on) [Bridge] At the summit, I stop Just to breathe the cold See the world laid out See the story untold I grin as I turn the key to cruise down the road! [Call and Response Chorus] Switchback moon, let me roam Switchback moon, I'm in the flow Round and round this road I go Switchback moon, take me home [Final Chorus] Switchback moon, let me roam Switchback moon, I'm in the flow Round and round this road I go Switchback moon, take me home [Ad lib Outro]
