Drowned In Ebony Silence

V5.5

Below black vaults unlit by mercy I entered where the walls endured. No sea was seen Yet all was drowning. The arches leaned in solemn hunger. I spoke The stone replied. No hand appeared. No rite was given. Only corridors descending Into their own silence. I walked until all shape abandoned me. No death awaited. Only depth. Drowned in ebony silence, Where breath becomes another ruin. No stars remained. No voices answered. Only the weight Of things forgotten. The nave consumed all distance. The ceiling lowered. The dark became material. I named myself once more Nothing returned. Only stone. Only pressure. Let these walls inherit me. Let silence keep its throne. I did not descend. The world closed above. Drowned in ebony silence, Entombed before the grave. No prayer endured. No dawn arrived. Only below all silence Something still kneels. Still the walls remain. Still the silence breathes.
