Who were you before?

[spoken, female - inner movie] „In a quiet room in Possenhofen, a girl once dreamed of the sea and of freedom. Her name was Elisabeth. They made her an empress, a legend, an icon. They choreographed her pain into glittering images. They sold her silence as glamour. And now… she stands on the stage again. Only this time, the crowd is cheering.“ [Verse 1] Red velvet rope, Gold on the frame. They sell all my shadows, But not my name. A polished illusion For the weekend crowd — They cheer for a life I never lived out. [Chorus] Glitz and glamour of a past I never had. All that shimmer on the glass Over something sad. You bought a ticket To watch me pretend — But the truth is a story That cuts at the end. [Verse 2] They cover the cracks Till they look like pearls. Turn everything missing Into some rich world. They choreograph heartache Into perfect scenes — You clap for the version That lives in your dreams. [Chorus] Glitz and glamour of a past I never had. All that shimmer on the glass Over something sad. You bought a ticket To watch me pretend — But the truth is a story That cuts at the end. [Bridge] Under all the sparkle Is a quiet room — One chair, One window, And a fading bloom. If I dropped the costume, Would you turn away Or walk through the silence And stay anyway? [Chorus – Final] Glitz and glamour of a past I never had. Every sparkle just a mask For what went bad. You came for the legend, Not the kid I hid — So I drown in the luster Of the life I never did.
