08 A Bethlehem Dawn - The Shepherd’s Night - BY S.L.G V.03

Verse 1 (English) On hillsides unseen by the world’s mighty eyes, Shepherds keep watch beneath starlit skies. Lowly, forgotten, yet chosen to hear, The heavenly chorus draws suddenly near. Chorus (Hebrew and English) שָׁלוֹם לָאָרֶץ וּבְנֵי אָדָם, “Peace to the earth and to all of mankind,” Glory resounds from heaven’s high song, Unto the world where hope now belongs. Verse 2 (English) A voice like a trumpet, a light breaking through, “Fear not, good tidings are given to you.” A Savior is born, wrapped gently in hay, For kings and for shepherds, for all who will stay. Bridge (English) Angels proclaim, with voices so bright, The heavens rejoicing in Bethlehem’s night. Echoes of glory, of peace that will reign, Inviting the humble, the lost, and the plain. Outro (Hebrew and English) כָּבוֹד לָאֵל בַּמְּרוֹמִים, “Glory to God in the highest!” they sing. A promise fulfilled, to the fields it was shown, The Shepherd of souls now claims His own.
