Genesis Chapter 1 (Encore)
(Verse 1) In the beginning, there was nothing but an empty void, God's spirit hovered, like a dove in quiet mode. He spoke with authority, His voice echoed profound, "Let there be light," He said, and day was found. Chorus: This is the story of creation, as old as time, When God stretched out the heavens and set everything right. From the dust of the ground to the stars in the sky, Our Maker's handiwork shines like a morning sunrise. (Verse 2) He divided the waters above from those below, And in between He hung the vast blue canvas, aglow. Then He commanded, "Let the land appear," Separating soil and sea, the first signs of His sphere. (Pre-Chorus): The earth was formless, void, and dark, but not for long, For God's creative power began to sing its song. He spoke of plants and trees, to bear fruit in their own time, And He called it "good," as if painting a rhyme. (Bridge): Then the great expanse above, with all its cosmic might, Was filled with stars and planets that would light up the night. Moon and sun were given course, by His wise design, To mark off days and seasons, like a clock in their line. (Chorus): This is the story of creation, as old as time, When God stretched out the heavens and set everything right. From the dust of the ground to the stars in the sky, Our Maker's handiwork shines like a morning sunrise. (Verse 3) He said, "Let the seas teem with fish, and birds take flight," Creatures great and small, living things full of life. Beasts that roamed the land, both wild and tame, Each one unique, as if stamped with His name. (Outro): On the seventh day, He rested from His work so grand, Admiring all He'd made, with a loving, gentle hand. So let us praise Him for the world He's given to keep, And remember that we're part of this story deep.
