Curtains dancing in the salty air, Sunlight tapping on my lashes there. I threw my regrets in the morning blue, Gave them my tears, and a rainbow grew. Yesterday tried to pull me down, Left little clouds all over town. But I tie my shoes and I chase the breeze, With a brand-new hope in my ripped-up jeans. Hear the waves go la-la-la, Like a heartbeat from the sea. Let the road roll under us, Come on, ride away with me. More and more and more, I wanna feel this moment shine. Look up, breathe in, open wide— Today is sunny after sunny skies. Every red light makes the old words start, Tiny little arrows at my heart. Things I should’ve said, things I got wrong, Trying to follow me all day long. But the water sparkles past the bars, Like it’s laughing underneath the cars. Maybe getting lost is not so bad, If every wrong turn gives me what I never had. Feel the wind go la-la-la, With a secret on my cheek. Let’s go find a little thrill, Down a street we’ve yet to meet. More and more and more, I wanna love this day alive. Look up, breathe in, chase the light— We’ll find the rainbow’s other side. With the hands that used to hide my face, I’ll hold the handlebar and choose my pace. The past may stay the way it’s been, But tomorrow can still let light in. My heart’s a prism in the sun, Changing colors one by one. When the light comes from a different view, I find a brighter shade of blue. Hear the waves go la-la-la, Even roadside flowers cheer. Let the whole world wake with us, There’s a brighter color here. More and more and more, I wanna trust this moment’s light. Blank white page, open sky— What should I paint with today’s new life? Look up, breathe in, open wide, Let yesterday get jealous tonight. Surely, surely, surely I’ll be fine— Today is sunny after sunny skies.
