I'm Never Enough
I wake up tired of breathing, Like the air costs more than I earn. Every step feels borrowed, Every lesson just another burn. I keep stacking my failures, Like they’ll turn into proof, That I was never worth the effort, Never meant to make it through. I tried to be louder... Tried to be strong. Tried to be everything... Still got it wrong. I’m never enough. Never the one. Always the shadow, Never the sun. I break my back just to stay in place, Still feel like a waste of space. I scream into the sky, Beg for a sign. But even my best never makes it right, No matter how hard I try or fight. I’m never enough. I’m just… alive I learned how to smile convincingly, Like it’s armor on my skin. I say “I’m fine” so casually, While I’m rotting within. Everyone else is moving forward, I’m just stuck in my head, Counting all the things I ruined, All the words I should’ve said. I tried to be useful... Tried to belong. Tried to matter... Stayed too long. I’m never enough, Never the one. Always the problem, Never the sum. I give and give till there’s nothing left, Still feel like a waste of breath. I beg for purpose, I beg for time. But nothing I touch ever turns out right. No matter how hard I fight or try, I’m never enough, I just survive. If I disappeared tomorrow Would it echo or just fade? Would anyone notice Or just rearrange? I keep waiting for proof That I’m more than a flaw But all I see is empty Staring back at me raw I’m tired of trying... Tired of hope. Tired of holding, What’s already broke. I’m never enough, Never okay. Always in the way, Always delayed. I carve myself down to fit their frame, Still feel like a waste of space. I don’t need saving, Just tell me why, Being alive feels like a crime, No matter how hard I fight or try. I’m never enough. If this is all I’ll ever be, Then let me at least be honest. I’m still here, Even when I don’t know, If I deserve it.
