They say a man wears many hats… me? Hell, I wore mine as nicknames. I ask myself, “What’s my name?” but the truth ain’t hard to see. Hell, it depends on who you ask, ’cause not everybody gets the same me. Some folks grew up with Casper, the pale little kid I used to be. Others shout “Geronimo!” from all the crazy jumps they’d see. I was Axl Rose the Hitman, under stage lights and smoke machines. Then back to plain old Jeremy, trying to figure out what life means. But every nickname tells a story, every hat I wore fit right. And the man I am today came from every one of those fights. Back when my hair was white as sunlight, and my skin was pale as chalk, they called me Casper on the playground — I didn’t mind, man, I could walk the walk. Little ghost sneakin’ through trouble, hollow legs and wild dreams, too sweet to know what trouble meant, too blonde to see what life would bring. Then I grew a little older and started jumping off the world — tree forts, rooftops, riverbanks, you name it, man, I gave it a whirl. Every time I took a leap, my buddies all would scream, “Geronimo!” and hell, it fit. I was living every kid’s loud dream. Then came the hair-spray ages, black boots and leather scenes, Murder Mystery Dinner Theater — spotlights, smoke, and movie themes. They called me Axl Rose the Hitman, slick shades and a killer smile, and I lived that part so hard I swear it stayed a little while. Life took me off the stage lights, sat me back down in the dirt — back to plain old Jeremy, heart bruised, pride hurt. But that quiet little reset put more steel into my name. Jeremy held the line enough to survive the next big change. Then Tahoe hit like a hammer, ironwork and cold steel crews — some folks there didn’t like me, weren’t shy about their views. So I wrote CRACKER on my sleever bar, and on my hard hat too — and just like that, the bullshit stopped. Respect showed up right on cue. Came back home a hardened man, scarred up but standing tall. That jobsite name stretched out to Crackerjack for all. CEO days, solving chaos, fixing things folks couldn’t fix, and they’d say, “Give it to Crackerjack — he’ll get it done without tricks.” That name fit like it chose me, like dust on working boots. And now it’s more than a nickname — it’s where my story roots. A man wears many hats, I wore mine as names. From Casper to Crackerjack, every chapter left a flame. Call me anything you want — I’ve been called damn near everything. But every name made me stronger, every one helped tune the swing. A man wears many hats, I wore ’em all with pride. Every nickname told my story, every one walked by my side. So if you ask, “What’s your name?” I’ll just smile and let it be. ’Cause it still depends on who you ask, and what part of me you see. A man wears many hats, yeah, I wore mine as names. Casper, Geronimo, Axl, Crackerjack — each one lit its own flame. Call me anything you want — I’ve been called damn near everything. But the man I am today came from every name they’d bring. A man wears many hats, I wore mine through the years. Every one a different story, every one earned in sweat and tears. Yeah… I wore a lot of hats. But Crackerjack? That one finally fit.
