Tequila Makes Her Cry / Tom E Tuffett

[Verse 1] She's happy for the most part Good thing she don't need a cure Because the tools I use to kill the blues She says they don't work for her Beer is off the table She says you know it makes me fat A glass of wine is fine at dinner time But after one she's done with that [Chorus] Whiskey makes her sleepy And weed gets her too high And she won't go to Mexico because tequila Tequila makes her cry [Verse 2] Oh she never wants to party That wasn't always the case She says there was a time you'd find her out of her mind Passed out flat on her face Sometimes cocaine would save her It'd keep her going all night Maybe watch the sunrise with a couple of guys Who might not treat her right [Chorus] I guess cocaine made her crazy Till she got tired of getting high And she won't go to Mexico because tequila Tequila makes her cry [Instrumental] [Chorus] Mexico, oh Mexico My favorite place and she won't go She went there once, she'll never go again Mexico, oh Mexico What you did to her I'll never know I need to find a place she's never been [Verse 3] Well I didn't know her back then But this girl I see and know She is strong and brave and beautiful And I love her even though [Chorus] Whiskey makes her sleepy And weed gets her too high And she won't go to Mexico because tequila Tequila makes her cry Tequila makes her cry
