Plans will fade (we should have known) Like paper boats we set afloat as kids (oohh) We mapped our future On the back of a receipt Three steps, one exit And a promise in the heat Then the corner tore clean open In the rain outside your place But the mess on that paper Showed us a better way The ink ran wide The corners split Still torn Still optimists The old lines blurred The page gave way Now I can see What the rain revealed The plan improved When it broke apart (The plan improved) You found the door In the broken part (You found the door) Now we're not tied To the same old lines We built it back With a sharper design I kept the bent-up corners To keep our story just ajar Little map of failure Little proof of who we are Every crack a new direction Every loss a better cut What we called the ending Was the opening up The ink ran wide The corners split Still raw Still fitting The old lines blurred The page gave way Now I can see What the chaos made The plan improved When it broke apart (The plan improved) You found the door In the broken part (You found the door) Now we're not tied To the same old lines We built it back With a sharper design Hold the scrap up See the shape What looked ruined Made room to change Among warped lines No perfect start Just our hands And a smarter heart The plan improved When it broke apart (The plan improved) You found the shore In the broken part (You found the shore) Now we're beyond The same old lines We built it back With a deeper spine The plan improved - Ohhhh The plan improved ✦✧•⸻⸻ •✦• ⸻⸻•✧✦ © 2026 ᒪᎥᒎᗩ · Lyrics & concept Music created with Suno AI Official artist profile: https://suno.com/@lijanna
