When the night is long and silent, when the road is hard to see, I will lift my eyes to heaven, for I know You walk with me. When the shadows try to frighten, when my heart begins to shake, I will call Your name, Lord Jesus, and remember I am safe. Pre-Chorus You are near me in the darkness, You are with me in the light. I will trust You through the danger, You will lead me through the night. Chorus I will not be afraid, for Jesus walks beside me. I will not be afraid, His love is all around me. I will not fear the arrow, I will not fear the grave. Even when the night grows darker, I know my Lord will make a way. I will not be afraid. Verse 2 I will not fear what comes tomorrow, I will not fear what I can’t see. For the One who holds the heavens is the One who carries me. When the world is full of trouble, when the news brings fear again, I will stand upon Your promise, You are faithful to the end. Bridge Not the arrow in the daylight, not the terror in the night. Not the valley, not the shadow, not the fear that steals my sight. Not even death can separate me from the love that holds my name. Jesus, You are here beside me. Yesterday, today, the same. Final Chorus I will not be afraid, for Jesus walks beside me. I will not be afraid, His mercy stands around me. I will not fear the arrow, I will not fear the grave. Even when I walk through darkness, I know my Savior knows the way. I will not be afraid. Outro No fear in the night. No fear in the storm. No fear in the shadow. Jesus is with me. I will not be afraid.
