She dreamed of that distant world—not because she wished to escape her home, but because she believed every horizon held another melody. One night, a sea witch appeared from the darkness. "I can grant your wish," she whispered. "Give me your voice, and I'll give you legs to walk upon the shore." The princess closed her eyes. She imagined the warmth of the sun, the endless sky, and the people she might one day meet. Then she thought of her songs. The lullabies that calmed the tides. The melodies that made lonely fish gather close. The music that carried her heart farther than words ever could. She smiled gently.
