The Fall of Star Knight
In ’82 the heavens burned, Detroit cried under steel and dirt. He built his faith from wire and blood, And crowned himself in current and mud. A silver man with a solar core, Drank too deep from the power’s roar. They called it progress — called it light, But gods don’t sleep through endless night. Star Knight — oh, bright deceiver, Bound by faith and fever. Your armor cracked, your promise gone, You took the sky and brought it down. Star Knight — the city’s pyre, A man reborn in fire. We made you king, we made you fall, Now only echoes haunt it all. His circuits sang a preacher’s prayer, Code and bone in the electric air. He chained the stars to mortal veins, Then broke the lock and split the frame. The crowd saw heaven through his eyes, Before the blast erased the skies. The air still hums his name in flame, And every spark repeats his shame. Star Knight — oh, bright deceiver, Bound by faith and fever. Your armor cracked, your promise gone, You took the sky and brought it down. Star Knight — the city’s pyre, A man reborn in fire. We made you king, we made you fall, Now only echoes haunt it all. Genetic sin, mechanical prayer, The mage’s light caught unaware. He reached too far, he broke the chain, Now god and ghost are both the same. Star Knight — Detroit’s requiem, Your monument — millennium. Your halo rusts, your fire fades, Still shadows dance in what you made. Star Knight — our endless trial, Our wreckage, our denial. We built you high, we built you wrong, Now all that’s left is this song.
