[Intro] (bright guitar riff) Hey, look at you [Verse 1] You don't need a trophy to prove that you're strong You've been writing your story all along Bad days and brave ones, the quiet and the loud I see who you're becoming and it makes me proud [Pre-Chorus] Not someday later when the dust all settles Right now, as you are, with your heart full of metal [Chorus] I'm proud of you already Not waiting on a finish line I'm proud of you already For the way you keep trying Keep shining, keep climbing Even when it's heavy I'm proud of you already [Verse 2] You care about people, you notice the small You get back up every time that you fall You ask the hard questions, you still choose to pray That kind of courage doesn't come every day [Pre-Chorus] Not someday later when the dust all settles Right now, as you are, with your heart full of metal [Chorus] I'm proud of you already Not waiting on a finish line I'm proud of you already For the way you keep trying Keep shining, keep climbing Even when it's heavy I'm proud of you already [Bridge] Jehovah's shaping something beautiful in you And I'm blessed just to watch what He'll do So if the world forgets to say it out loud Hear it from your dad: I'm proud [Final Chorus] (handclaps, fuller) I'm proud of you already Not waiting on a finish line I'm proud of you already For the way you keep trying Keep shining, keep climbing Even when it's heavy I'm proud of you already Yeah, already [Outro] Proud of you Already
