[Intro] [soft drum heartbeat Low flute call] Sun is arising All things waiting I breathe slowly Name this blessing [Verse 1] First light on my face Warm hand on my eyes I wake in your fire Old friend in the sky You climb the far hills Touch stone River Tree You open all paths You open me [Chorus] Heart of the rising sun We walk in your giving Every small step we take You keep it living Heart of the rising sun Guide of our breathing All that we learn and change Comes from your being (ohh) [Verse 2] You feed tiny seeds Hidden under cold ground You lift wings of birds Show them where to fly around You paint all our scars Healing color through pain You watch every tear Like a bright Gentle rain [Chorus] Heart of the rising sun We walk in your giving Every small step we take You keep it living Heart of the rising sun Guide of our breathing All that we learn and change Comes from your being [Bridge] For joy You are there For loss You are there For fear You are there For growth You are there For birth You are there For age You are there In every story we are You are the prayer (hey) [Chorus] Heart of the rising sun We walk in your giving Every small step we take You keep it living Heart of the rising sun Fire in our vision All of our love and paths Move in your rhythm [Outro] [drum softens Flute rises then fades] I thank you Great light For this breath This day Till you fall from the sky I will follow your way
