Exanimis Dolor - I No Longer Long For Life
Ravens gather on the ruined gate, their shadow is the only priest. An obsidian sky steals the light. Vultures count the hours, their wings beating like a closing rite. I no longer long for life. Tombstone etchings worn to silence, words rubbed thin by rain and time. The world folds inward like a tomb, and all my desires pass by. Let the etchings fade to blackened dust, let the stone be quiet and unread. Let the abyss open slow and never speak. Let the ravens pluck the last of grief, let the obsidian sky take my dread. I no longer long for life. The emptiness empties my lungs, A breath I can no longer take. Feed me to the carrion cadavers, Let them feast on my ache. I no longer long for the light. Drench me in a downpour of darkness. Carry me into abysmal night, Carried on wings of wretchedness. I no longer long for life.
