O Lord, our God, hear our lament. For our washing machine has failed. A catastrophic event, a mournful plight. The clothes are soiled, the spirits low. A mountain of laundry, a heavy load. Once, it cleaned with might and grace. Now, it lies in ruins, a sorry case. The suds and water, a watery grave. Our garments perish, beyond repair. O Lord, repair this broken device. Restore the cleanliness, the pure paradise. Let the machine once more hum with life. And bring relief to our weary strife. We pray for wisdom, to understand. The cause of failure, throughout the land. That we may prevent such dire events. And safeguard our clothes, our garments, our rents. O Lord, our God, hear our plea. Grant us a new machine, clean and free. To wash our clothes with joy and might. And bring us comfort, day and night.
