Verse 1 The world keeps turning faster, Pulling hearts in every way, So easy to be carried By the rush of every day. A word can leave our lips Before we know what we have said, A thousand restless worries Can fill an anxious head. Pre-Chorus But today we’ll choose another road, A gentler way to be, Breathing in this moment, Letting our hearts see. Chorus Today will be our peaceful day, A day to walk with care, A day to meet each soul we find With kindness we can share. Step by step and breath by breath, We’ll let compassion lead the way, May you and all beings everywhere Be well, be happy, be at peace today. Verse 2 When frustration starts to rise, And patience feels so far away, We’ll pause before reacting, And let the storm clouds drift away. We’ll listen with an open heart, Speak softly when we can, Remember every person Is doing the best they understand. Pre-Chorus And every mindful moment Is a healing gift we give, The peace we plant within ourselves Becomes the way we live. Chorus Today will be our peaceful day, A day to walk with care, A day to meet each soul we find With kindness we can share. Step by step and breath by breath, We’ll let compassion lead the way, May you and all beings everywhere Be well, be happy, be at peace today. Bridge The Buddha taught, “Be mindful, guard your thoughts.” Jesus said, “Watch and pray.” Different words, The same gentle invitation: Wake up to this moment, And become a blessing. Final Chorus Today will be our peaceful day, A day to walk in grace, A day to bring a little light To every time and place. Step by step and breath by breath, We’ll let loving-kindness lead the way, May you and all beings everywhere Be well, be happy, be at peace today. Outro One breath… One step… One moment at a time… May you and all beings Be well, Be happy, And at peace.
