[INTRO — 1950s CROONER, BRUSHED DRUMS, UPRIGHT BASS, PIANO, SOFT BRASS] [MALE CROONER — VELVET, EXTREMELY POLITE] Dear Suno, I wrote a little note. Nothing complicated. Nothing hard to quote. Male voice only. Slow piano at the start. Then somehow twelve sopranos came exploding through the dark. [SOFT CROONER HARMONY] Lovely. [MALE CROONER] Not what I asked for... but lovely. [BOOM-BAP DRUMS ENTER] [MALE RAP — RELAXED] I put the directions inside every bracket. Checked every syllable. Trimmed every packet. Marked where the bass hits. Marked where the drums stop. Said, “Give me desert blues.” You gave me— [HEAVY GUITAR HIT] arena rock. I said, “British.” You said, “Nebraska.” I said, “Dark gospel.” You brought a fiesta. I said, “MALE ONLY.” Some lady said “AHHHHH.” Who invited her? Nobody knows. Carry on. [HOOK — CROONER + HIP-HOP] THAT IS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE PLAN. YOU TOOK MY MAP, FOLDED IT TWICE, AND SOMEHOW— IT STILL SLAMS. [MALE CROONER] Which is irritating. [BEAT SWITCH — FASTER RAP] [MALE RAP] Then comes pronunciation, our favorite game. One word, three readings, same singer, same name. First verse says PHIL-IH-STEENZ, next verse changes teams. By the final chorus they're a different people, it seems. So we spell it out. Generate again. Twenty little credits go floating in the wind. Correct word! Great take! Everything pristine— then the singer hits a sentence that was never meant to sing. [MALE RAP — MOCK DRAMATIC] “DESERT BLUES GUITAR.” “INDUSTRIAL DRUMS.” “GOSPEL ORGAN.” “DOOM RIFF.” [BEAT STOPS] [MALE SPOKEN — DEADPAN] Those were instructions. [ONE PIANO CHORD] [MALE CROONER] Beautiful diction, though. [FAST RAP — DOUBLE-TIME] Check the brackets! Check the stresses! Check the vowels! Check the measures! Check the names with fourteen letters hiding biblical surprises! Count the syllables! Cut the extras! Watch the line before it wrecks ya! One bad word inside a masterpiece— Congratulations! Regenerate it! We said, “FULL BAND DROPS OUT!” Good. We said, “BRIEF SILENCE!” Fine. We once said, “ALL MUSIC STOPS!” [ABRUPT SILENCE] [MALE SPOKEN] ...and apparently that was legally binding. [PIANO RETURNS] [MALE CROONER] Our mistake. [CHORUS — BIGGER] THAT IS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. YOU READ THE WHOLE REQUEST. THEN PICKED THREE WORDS YOU LIKED THE MOST AND IMPROVISED THE REST. I'M MAD ENOUGH TO RUN IT BACK— BUT FIRST, LET'S HEAR THAT DROP. [HUGE BASS DROP] [MALE CROONER] Oh. That's actually good. [UBER-FAST RAP — TECHNICAL CHOPPER, CLEAR ARTICULATION] Prompt it, trim it, bracket it, submit it, listen, catch it, change it, then remix it! Wrong stress, odd breath, great hook, bad name, one syllable turns the whole take sideways! Verse clean, chorus mean, bridge somehow became sixteen bars of something we did not request but now it's our favorite thing! Male voice! No choir! Why's there a choir? Slow build! No guitar! WHY IS THERE FIRE? Drop drums! Add dub! Keep the vocal dry! Suno heard: “Do whatever feels right.” Fine! But if you're gonna mutiny, at least stay in key! And stop inventing new pronunciations just to personally mess with me! [WORLDWIDE CHOPPER FINALE — EXTREME SPEED, PRECISE MALE RAP] We don't press like just because somebody rendered it, earned means earned when the craft gets presented! We hear the breath, the meter, the rhyme, the strain, the word that got mangled and ruined the refrain! We tell another creator, “Brother, check that line.” Because somebody told us and it saved us time! We're all out here feeding credits to machines while a robot turns our footnotes into melodies! Bracket police! Syllable squad! Pronunciation patrol on the boulevard! Genre requested! Genre denied! Still somehow banging so we let it slide! Twenty more credits! Run it again! How many generations? Don't ask me when! We came for one song, now we're auditing speech! Samson fought Philistines— WE FOUGHT THE WORD “PHILISTINES” FOR A WEEK! [EVERYTHING CUTS EXCEPT PIANO, UPRIGHT BASS, BRUSHES] [MALE CROONER — COMPLETELY CALM] Dear Suno, after careful review... you ignored the arrangement, changed half the style, frightened the syllables, and nearly killed the outro. [PAUSE] That is not what I asked for. [SOFT BRASS] [MALE CROONER] Keep it. [FINAL CROONER TAG — ALMOST WHISPERED] Lovely track, though.
