Tomb Raider
I've got a map, a torch, a shovel, and a dream, Though every creepy hallway isn't quite what it may seem. The bats are judging silently, the cobwebs wave hello, I'm whispering, "I'm fearless!" in the quietest voice I know. Every crack's a monster, every breeze's a ghost, I'm bravely leading... from the very back, almost. I'm a tomb raider, trembling with pride, Digging through history while panic's along for the ride. If I scream at a pebble, well, that's strategy, see? It's called "defensive archaeology!" One shaky scoop, one nervous grin, If a skeleton waves, I'm waving back again. I'm scared out of my boots, but quitting? Not today— I'll excavate... from a comfortable distance away! I found an ancient doorway with mysterious old runes, I knocked three times politely and apologized too soon. A mummy gave a coughing fit—I nearly broke the sound For the fastest sprint recorded ever underground. Indiana? He's got swagger. Pirates? They've got style. I've got ten emergency snacks And a "hide-behind-the-pile." If the treasure starts to sparkle, I'll inspect it with a stick. If it sparkles back at me... I'm leaving pretty quick. I'm a tomb raider, heart in my throat, Reading ancient warnings like they're personal notes. "Beware the curse!" "Thanks for the tip!" I'll continue... after a calming sip. History won't uncover itself, that's true, So I'll keep on digging—though I'm spooked clear through. With every jump and every yell, I'm excavating... and doing surprisingly well! So if you hear a shriek echo deep below, It's probably just me meeting my own shadow. The treasure is mine... once I've checked the room twice— And maybe asked the ghosts to please be nice.
