V5

[Intro] [Verse 1] We lived inside the endless light, Where nothing ever turned to night. A perfect world without a flaw, Guided by a gentle law. But slowly, in the eternal sun, The conscious mind was coming undone. Not a shadow, not a tear, Nothing left to conquer here. We had no hunger, had no pain, And so the spirit slowly waned. [Pre-Chorus] The time had come... [Chorus] We had to fall, to feel the ground, Where the heavy chains of earth are found. It wasn’t a curse, it wasn’t a sin, It’s just the place where the work begins! The very first phase of the saving grace, To leave the light for a darker place. To wake the soul from the endless day, We had to fall, to find the way. [Verse 2] A hunger grew inside the heart, To be divided, to be apart. To feel the cold, to face the storm, To take a heavy, physical form. We traded heaven for the earth, To understand what love is worth. Without the friction of the night, We lose the meaning of the light. The heavy matter, cold and blind, Became the classroom for the mind. [Bridge] The blinding sun was burning dry, We needed clouds across the sky. The cooling shade, the morning dew, A world of struggle, harsh and new. [Music swells, massive crescendo] The great descent is not our doom, It brings a flower from the gloom. We walked into the shadow’s hold, To turn the earthly dust to gold! [Outro] Down into the dark we go. To learn the things we need to know. The refreshing rain, the shadow’s call... The holy purpose of the fall. We embrace the night. To remember the light. [End]
