It was a disease that came from Holland in a trading ship which gave fleas to rats which then arrived in a poor place in London called St. Giles -in-the-field. Fleas came over to England on a cotton ship which then fleas bit the rats and the rats ran free. Rats ran free then died so the fleas jumped onto the humans then the humans coughed then it spread. They would get buboes and go green then die and when they die there bodies will go in a big pit.
