A Golden Game Against a Red-Hot Flyers Team
Tonight, the shootout loss against Pittsburgh is absolutely not a loss in my eyes. Allowing an elite player like Crosby to savor an exceptional milestone in front of his family is worth its weight in gold. It was hockey history unfolding right before our eyes. I am first and foremost a hockey fan, and then, since birth, a Canadiens fan, and the Canadiens gave it their all tonight by pushing the game to a shootout. The loss of Jake Evans is heartbreaking, and thankfully Phillip Danault arrives at just the right moment to help limit the damage. What a beautiful spectacle it was tonight, as a Canadiens fan and a lover of hockey. I can only be grateful to have witnessed such an important moment in the history of the National Hockey League. Go Habs Go. Congratulations to Sidney Crosby. Life is beautiful when you get to watch great hockey. The Canadiens were in it until the very end, and we witnessed the coronation of Sid the Kid. Honestly, why complain when life is so beautiful? We earned a point. If I could watch a game like this every night, I would say that life is giving me exactly what I ask of it, as the song says. A three-point weekend out of four. Go Habs Go.
