[Verse] when I return to heaven walk beside Jesus on a stroll I hope I will get to ask him if we were worth the toll? [Pre-Chorus] Jesus, as godly as he is I'm sure he wouldn't utter any ill I'd point to all of this and ask, you sure of your goodwill? [Chorus] Did loving man in heaven, bring you more joy then when on earth? if repentance was never on option, could you have lived fine without us? after all this time has passed, would you go to earth to do it again? or might you stay in heaven, and let mortal man dwell within his sin? [Verse 2] I would thank Jesus for his choice. let him know how great a sacrifice it was and that I loved him for his strength. I just wish while on earth that my voice, no greater than a turtle doves, carried his calmness and not angst. [Chorus] walking with Jesus might not come to many but for those of us that get to be so lucky we'll appreciate the gesture, such kindness and care accept heaven and it's splendor wishing everyone was there [Verse 3] id ask him about doubt, what it felt like to him? how knowing what I've done, he could possibly have let me in? [Outro] Jesus you're my God, my Lord, my Saviour. how can I possibly be anything to you? you have all that is in heaven, the worlds, seas, universes, everything. what could I possibly offer you? I'm as meaningless to you as an ant on Earth was to me. I'd look him in the eye sincere waiting for what I've just asked and done. I can only imagine him telling me he loves me, the way his father loved him as a son. [End]
