[Intro] Yeah... Something underneath Derry... You hear that? Don't look down. [Verse 1] Rain on the pavement, lights going out, Everybody whispers but they don't talk loud, Old town secrets underneath Derry's streets, Something in the darkness and it never sleeps. Kids see shadows where the grown folks don't, Everybody says leave, but somehow they won't, Red balloon floating where the cold wind blows, If you see Pennywise, then you already know. [Hook] Red balloon, floating through Derry at night, Pennywise waiting underneath the streetlights, Run if you want, but the past comes around, Something's waking up underneath Derry town. Red balloon, don't follow that sound, Pennywise laughing when there's nobody around, Everybody knows but nobody will say, The darkness comes back to Derry someday. [Verse 2] Old photographs and a missing page, Derry keeps secrets from age to age, History repeating, generations afraid, Same strange nightmare but the faces all changed. Storm clouds building over Derry gray, People act normal like it's all okay, But the sewer drains got stories to tell, And Pennywise knows Derry way too well. I hear footsteps when I'm walking alone, Static on the radio, voice on the phone, "Come a little closer," then the signal goes dead, And a red balloon rises over my head. [Hook] Red balloon, floating through Derry at night, Pennywise waiting underneath the streetlights, Run if you want, but the past comes around, Something's waking up underneath Derry town. [Bridge] Who remembers? Who forgets? Derry's carrying all of its secrets. Close your eyes... Count to ten... Hope Pennywise won't rise again. [Final Verse] Now the whole town shaking, truth coming out, Fear gets stronger when it's fed by doubt, But maybe this time we don't run away, Maybe Derry finally faces the darkness today. Red in the sky and the thunder rolls, Secrets in the walls and ghosts in the roads, You can bury the past but it won't stay down, Especially when Pennywise haunts Derry town. [Outro] Red balloon... Floating through Derry... But everybody knows...
