As winter claims the autumn leaves All scattered on the ground And all that's left is naked trees And snow without a sound Who's that in the streets and towns They're all around the world Not those in our home life Warm beds where Wer'e all curled There's young and old unnoticed In the doorways to their souls For them no new tomorrow For them no dreams or goals You always want to be the change But never see it through Just walk on by Don't see them There's nothing you can do [music break] In a world that never changes In a world that doesn't care We think that these are hard times Just be thankful Wer'e not there No food nor warmth just hunger Survive or fade away Imagine if your loved ones Woke up to that each day You always want to be the change But never see it through Just walk on by Don't see them There's nothing you can do They were there when we were children They'll be there as we grow old The forgotten and the helpless To our memories theyr'e sold The thing we should remember As we pass by and ignore Is that once there was a past life With a key to their front door No food nor warmth just hunger Survive or fade away Imagine if your loved ones Woke up to that each day You always want to be the change But don't know what to do Lets be the change And promise To this time See it through Be the change.... Please be the change.... Just be the change.... Be the change.... Please be the chang.... Just be the change...
