[Intro] You came looking for a doorway But mercy locked the gate I stand beneath the promise And I will not break [Verse 1] Every word you aimed at me Lost its way before my feet Every trap you laid in secret Turned to testimony You can bring the accusation You can raise your voice all night But the Lord who goes before me Has already won the fight [Pre-Chorus] I am covered, I am guarded My surrender is my shield What was sent to steal my future Must bow down and yield [Chorus] Return to sender, it won’t work Every curse, every plot, every evil word Return to sender, it won’t work I belong to the King, and His promise stands first No weapon formed against me can decide my end What you meant for my ruin, God will turn again Return to sender, it won’t work In the name of Jesus, it won’t work [Choir] It won’t work! It won’t work! The enemy’s plan, it won’t work! It won’t work! It won’t work! By the blood of the Lamb, it won’t work! [Verse 2] I have cried beside the altar I have wrestled through the night Now I rise with holy courage There is fire in my fight Every chain has lost its power Every door is opening wide The same hand that kept me breathing Is the hand that’s on my side [Pre-Chorus] I am covered, I am guarded My surrender is my shield What was sent to steal my future Must bow down and yield [Chorus] Return to sender, it won’t work Every curse, every plot, every evil word Return to sender, it won’t work I belong to the King, and His promise stands first No weapon formed against me can decide my end What you meant for my ruin, God will turn again Return to sender, it won’t work In the name of Jesus, it won’t work [Bridge] I speak peace over my household I speak life over my name I speak freedom to my children Every chain is breaking today I speak favor over the faithful I speak courage to the weak When the enemy comes like a flood The Spirit rises up in me [Choir] Send it back! Send it back! Every evil assignment, send it back! Send it back! Send it back! Under God's authority, send it back! [Breakdown] You cannot curse what God has blessed You cannot stop what He ordained You cannot bury what He resurrects You cannot win against His name [Final Chorus] Return to sender, it won’t work Every curse, every plot, every evil word Return to sender, it won’t work I belong to the King, and His promise stands first No weapon formed against me can decide my end What you meant for my ruin, God will turn again Return to sender, it won’t work In the name of Jesus, it won’t work [Outro] It won’t work over my home It won’t work over my mind It won’t work over my calling The victory is already mine Return to sender Return to sender In the name of Jesus It won’t work
