[Verse] In the darkness, we find ourselves lost Searching for hope, counting the cost But in our hearts, there's a fire that burns A desire to rise above the world's concerns (oh-yeah) [Chorus] Rise above, let your spirit fly (fly, fly, fly) Oh, rise above, reach for the sky (reach for the sky) In the face of trials, we will not fear For love's strength will make our purpose clear Rise above, let your light shine bright (shine bright) Oh, rise above, embrace the divine (embrace the divine) We are warriors, strong and brave With faith as our armor, we will be saved [Verse] In our crisis God has hidden a grand plan Learn to let go KNOW God is holding our hand All our past angers, resentments and shames Diminish and vanish when we honor God's name. Forgiving our neighbors both strangers and friends Forgiving ourselves is where it all begins Let us RISE ABOVE our Earthly sins (oh-yeah) [Chorus] RISE ABOVE, let your spirit fly (fly, fly, fly) Oh, RISE ABOVE, reach for the sky (reach for the sky) In the face of trials, we will not fear For love's strength will make our purpose clear RISE ABOVE, let your light shine bright (shine bright) Oh, rise above, embrace the divine (embrace the divine)
