[Intro] Just one drink… That’s all we’re having tonight. Right? [Verse 1] Met my friends after work today Said we’d keep it nice and calm One little beer turned into five Before we knew what was going on The sun went down, the music started Someone ordered shots again Every bad idea looked brilliant And every stranger was a friend [Pre-Chorus] We had responsibilities We had plans for Saturday But those disappeared completely About an hour into the day [Chorus] We said just one drink Just one drink tonight Now we’re singing in the streetlights Like everything’s alright We said just one drink That’s what we always say And somehow every single time It ends exactly the same way [Drop] Oh-oh-oh-oh Just one drink Oh-oh-oh-oh That’s how it begins Oh-oh-oh-oh Just one drink Then nobody wins [Verse 2] Someone’s dancing on a table Someone lost their jacket twice Someone’s giving life advice While eating cold fries The DJ thinks we’re legends The taxi drivers know our names And somehow every weekend Turns into the same old game [Pre-Chorus] No one remembers how it started No one knows who’s to blame But every photo from tomorrow Will tell the story again [Chorus] We said just one drink Just one drink tonight Now we’re singing in the streetlights Like everything’s alright We said just one drink That’s what we always say And somehow every single time It ends exactly the same way [Bridge] Tomorrow we’ll be tired Tomorrow we’ll complain But tonight we’re making memories We’ll laugh about again [Final Chorus] We said just one drink Just one drink tonight Now we’re singing with complete strangers Like they’re friends for life We said just one drink That’s what we always say And somehow every single time It ends exactly the same way [Outro] Just one drink… See you next Friday.
