Moonshine Science (Yee Yee Redneck Dialogue Edition)
[Radio Announcer Voice — awkward enthusiasm exploding into frantic confusion] “Uh, hey... welcome to, uh, Moonshine Madness Radio? Yeah, that’s right. We got some... interesting stuff going on here. Like, uh, science stuff... with moonshine? Wait, wait, wait — science with moonshine? What the hell does that even mean? Like, are they pouring moonshine into test tubes? Or maybe they’re making people drink moonshine to see what happens? Is that a science experiment or just called ‘Tuesday’? And who even thinks, ‘Hey, let’s experiment on a guy with hooch that probably came outta some rusty bathtub?’ That’s not science, that’s a dang disaster waiting to happen! I don’t know if I’m impressed or terrified, honestly. I’m just the guy reading the script here, but like, how do you even come up with this stuff?” ....Anyway, stick around if you wanna hear a grown man get kidnapped by hillbillies and probably regret all his life choices. Or don’t. Totally your call.” [Instrumental Intro] [Verse 1] So I’m chillin’ on a road trip, just vibin’, feelin’ free, Next thing I know, I wake up in a shack, no key. Some rednecks in overalls, with lab coats kinda weird, Holdin’ jars of mystery juice that smell like bad beer. One dude’s like, “We’s ’bout ta turn yerself inta a real moonshine critter, boy!” I’m like, “Bro, I’m a city dude, not some experiment plan.” They pour me shots of moonshine, say it’ll unlock my mind, I’m sweatin’, eyes twitchin’, thinkin’ ‘This can’t be legit, right?’ [Verse 2] They mix in some “special sauce,” call it “magic corn elixir,” I swear my thoughts start glitchin’, feelin’ kinda sicker. One guy pulls out a syringe filled with neon green goo, Says, “This here’s the secret, gon’ fix ya up good as new.” I try to explain I’m not a lab rat or some science fair, But they just nod and chuckle, like “Don’ ya worry none, lil’ city boy, we’s jes’ tryin’ ta help.” I’m stuck in this redneck lab, feelin’ like a circus freak, Trapped in moonshine madness, for at least a week. [Deadpan spoken - Stop Music, Focus on vocals] “Help,” I text my phone, but it’s dead, no signal bars, Stuck here with these hillbillies and their weird chemical jars. If you see this message, send some help or maybe beer, I’ll take either one, just please get me outta here. [Verse 3 - Music Kicks back in] They put me in a chair, strap me down, no debate, One starts mumblin’, “Hold still now, we’s gon’ make ya somethin’ great!” I’m thinkin’ ‘Dude, I’m just here for a road trip and some fun, Not to be a test dummy ‘til this madness is done.’ Suddenly, I’m hallucinating Elvis and a moonshine frog, Dancin’ on my head while they jab me with a log. But hey, I gotta admit, it’s kinda funny, kinda strange, How I went from a chill trip to a moonshine exchange. [Outro – Nervous laugh] So if you ever get invited to a redneck science jam, Just say “No sir,” or you might end up like me — the moonshine man.
