Fading Atlas - SHIMMERING LIGHTS IN THE DARK
In the hush between two stars, your voice flickers, where the shadows are. A pulse of light, a breath, a mark—shimmering lights in the dark. We walked the faultlines of our fears, left footprints etched in yesteryears. Your laugh still floats in empty parks, shimmering lights in the dark. And I held your name like a candle's flame, in the wind of everything we couldn’t tame. Shimmering lights in the dark, echoes where we used to spark. Burning soft in memory’s arc, you’re still there—my northern mark. Shimmering lights, flickering fast, like moments never meant to last. Lantern eyes, you looked through me, spoke in a language lost at sea. I chased the glow that left no trail, your ghost on every twilight gale. One light, then two, then ten arise, like fireflies in storm-swept skies. If you still burn beyond my view, know my silence burns for you. Shimmering lights in the dark, echoes where we used to spark. Burning soft in memory’s arc, you’re still there—my northern mark. Shimmering lights, flickering fast, like moments never meant to last. And if I reach but miss the spark, I'll keep walking through the dark. Shimmering lights… in the dark… still you are. © 2025 Symbiosis Music / All rights reserved.
