**[Intro]** Before you judge the road… Remember… You got your road too. Different shoes. Different steps. Same God. SILL-E. **[Hook]** Walk in my shoes before you talk, I’ll walk in yours, we all got a walk. You don’t know my road, I don’t know your scars, We all got a journey that made us who we are. Walk in my shoes, I’ll walk in yours, Everybody got battles behind closed doors. You might see my road, I might see yours, But God knows the path that we’re walking toward. **[Verse 1]** I used to think I knew somebody by the way they moved, See a certain kind of life and think I knew the truth. But everybody got a chapter they don't ever read aloud, Some people hide the rain underneath a perfect cloud. That person that you judge might be fighting just to breathe, That person acting cold might be carrying grief. That person moving slow might've traveled through a storm, That person looking lost might be trying to transform. We all got different baggage, different roads, different views, Different things we had to lose, different battles we went through. I can't measure your mountain from the valley where I stand, And you can't measure mine without knowing who I am. So maybe we need patience before pointing out the flaws, Maybe everybody's fighting battles nobody saw. You don't have to understand me for me to understand you, We just gotta recognize we're all walking in different shoes. **[Verse 2]** Maybe your journey started somewhere different than mine, Maybe you had more darkness, maybe you had more light. Maybe you lost somebody that you never got to tell, Maybe you're smiling outside while you're fighting like hell. Maybe you made mistakes that you're still trying to repair, Maybe you carry things that you don't know how to share. Maybe your road got bends that nobody else can see, Maybe what looks like weakness is the weight you had to beat. So who am I to judge the way another person heals? Who am I to tell somebody what their struggle isn't real? I don't know their childhood, I don't know their pain, I don't know the prayers they whispered standing underneath the rain. And maybe that's the lesson—we ain't supposed to know it all, Just give a little grace when somebody starts to fall. I got my road, you got yours, and neither one's the same, But somehow we're both searching for the meaning in the pain. **[Verse 3 — Faster]** Different soles, different roads, different stories, different goals, Different highs, different lows, different wounds nobody knows. Different homes, different hope, different ways that people cope, Different dreams, different fears, still we all gotta walk the road. I can't judge your chapter from the page that I can see, You can't judge my destination from the place I used to be. We ain't walking in a straight line, every path got turns, Sometimes lessons come from losses, sometimes bridges gotta burn. Maybe what I call a failure was a lesson in disguise, Maybe what you call a setback was a step you needed in life. Maybe your road looks different 'cause your purpose ain't the same, Maybe God is writing chapters we ain't ready to explain. So I'm done looking sideways at another person's race, I got enough to work on when I'm looking in my face. You don't have to walk like me, I don't have to walk like you, We can honor one another for the different roads we choose. And when the road gets dark and we don't know what to do, Maybe that's when faith reminds us we're not walking by ourselves. You got your road. I got mine. **And God knows where they're leading to.** **[Final Hook]** Walk in my shoes, I’ll walk in yours, We all got a journey, we all got a war. You don't know my road, I don't know yours, So maybe we should judge a little less than before. Walk in my shoes, I’ll walk in yours, Different roads but we're all looking for something more. You might see my path, I might see yours, But God knows the road… **And God knows what it's for.** **[Outro]** You got your shoes. I got mine. Your road ain't my road. My road ain't yours. So I won't judge your journey… And you don't have to judge mine. We're all walking somewhere. We're all still becoming. **Different roads.** **Different shoes.** **One God.**
