[Intro] Lipstick like a warning sign Heels echo down the line Heartbeat ticking like a trigger Step closer — cross the line [Verse 1] Crimson silk and gasoline Perfume cut with smoke She laughs like broken vinyl Every word a velvet choke Neon flickers on her shadow Claws beneath the thread You think you’re hunting innocence But you’re dancing with the dread [Pre-Chorus] She doesn’t bare her teeth Until you’re in too deep [Chorus] I’m the wolf in red In your velvet bed Sweet on the tongue But I bite instead You can trace my name Where your fear has bled I’m the wolf in red I’m the wolf in red [Verse 2] Backroom mirror prophecy Mascara running wild Every saint that tried to save her Left corrupted by her smile Leather jacket halo Danger in her sway She’ll let you taste forever Then she’ll turn and walk away [Pre-Chorus] You love the thrill of fire Till you’re the one that burns [Chorus] I’m the wolf in red In your velvet bed Sweet on the tongue But I bite instead You can trace my name Where your fear has bled I’m the wolf in red I’m the wolf in red [Bridge] Cherry stains and sirens Riot in her wake She’s the spark inside the blackout She’s the rule you shouldn’t break Not your victim, not your prize Not the story left unsaid She’s the hunter in the high heels With a halo dipped in red [Breakdown] Oh — hear the guitars grind Oh — danger by design [Final Chorus] I’m the wolf in red Feel my pulse in your head Kiss me like a loaded gun Love me like you’re misled Every heart I touch Leaves a trail of thread I’m the wolf in red And I paint it red [Outro] Lipstick on the warning sign Heels fading down the line If you see the crimson shadow Run — or fall in line
