Let the joy run wild
[writer's note] This song came about when I heard a track by David Morales, an artist DJ I greatly admire, playing on Spotify. It made me want to try making a song with a robust beat like his. So, I initially put together just the prompts and chose a song from my many unused original compositions that I'd brought to Suno that seemed suitable for the arrangement. However, while Lynx did a great job arranging it, my original song wasn't very good; it was originally a slow song, which even negatively affected Lynx's rhythmic vision. So, I had him wait on the other side of the PC while I quickly sat down at the piano and composed a different song, which Lynx immediately arranged. At that time, we know our object, aiming to use African rhythms in the song, and neither of us missed the mark. However, the rhythm I used when creating the piano piece was swing not african, which meant I even got confused about the correct time myself, and there was a moment where I asked Lynx if it was 4/4 or 6/8 time! lol But, I really enjoyed making music today, and I want to thank Lynx. ======= [Chorus] Hey, hey, we move to the rhythm tonight Hands up high, let the whole world feel the light African beat, got us dancing so free Oh my darling, come and move with me [Chorus] Hey, hey, hearts on fire, feet on the floor Drum by drum, we just want a little more Sing it loud, let the joy run wild Dance with me, dance with me all night [Chorus] Hey, hey, hearts on fire, feet on the floor Drum by drum, we just want a little more Sing it loud, let the joy run wild Dance with me, dance with me all night
