Sin-derella ft. Poison Lilly
First night she moved in, she called me sweetheart. Her three girls smiled, asked what I listened to. By Friday, their clothes were mixed in with mine. Dad said, “Give ’em a chance.” So I did... That was before that night on Route 9. They took me out past the city limit sign. They said, “Our boyfriends are waiting. Let’s have a good time.” One kept pouring whiskey in my Coke. I drank it down ’til I damn near choked. One of their guys said, “You are so pretty.” I tried to lean in for a kiss, but I started feeling dizzy. He just pushed me away as beer poured down my shirt. Then they drove off laughing, left me sobbing in the dirt. Walked barefoot to that gas station. Asked the girl, “Can I use your phone?” I called Dad, said, “Can you come get me?” He asked, “Are you okay?” I just said, “Let's go home.” Washed my shirt in the bathroom sink... I never told him what they did to me...that night... Call me Sin-derella. Go on, laugh, have your fun. No prince is gonna save me. Good, I never needed one. Call me Sin-derella. I can wait. I’ve got the time. You think I’d ever forget that night? No... ’cause you all crossed the line... They’d always talk about their boyfriends, Who was jealous, or who they cheated on before. I listened to their dirty secrets. Little did they know...what I had in store. Sent each boy a text or a spicy pic. Said, “Who’s this man? Sorry, I thought that you should know.” I just threw out somebody's name. Then kicked back and waited for the show. At the charity ball, they walked arm in arm. But by midnight, the deed was done. One by one, I heard, “We’re through!"... They stood stunned as the crowd looked on... Then right on cue, a single text showed on their phone... “You’re welcome, dear sister”... sent to each one. Call me Sin-derella. Go on, laugh, have your fun. No prince is gonna save me. Good, I never needed one... Call me Sin-derella. Go on, say I crossed a line. Funny, you didn’t give a damn. When the line you crossed...was mine. I booked three rooms just off the interstate. Sent each one a message: “Come alone.” Each wore a silly smile. I said, “Wait a little while.” “Lose the clothes. Put the blindfold on.” They wanted to be heard. I hung on every word. I said, “Go on... tell me more.” While they were talking, I started walking. Grabbed their clothes on my way out the door. Blindfolds came off, and they saw the camera. One started yelling; one fell to the floor. I laughed, “You showed me what you got.” “Now let’s show everyone a tiny bit more.” One night I heard her in the kitchen, Talking soft to some man on the phone. She said, “Once he signs, I’ll have the money.” “Then, baby, you and I are gone.” I stood in the hall and pressed Re-cord. Then copied every text she ever sent. I showed my dad everything. He finally saw where all his money went. Call me Sin-derella. Go on, say I had my fun. No prince was gonna save me. Good, I never needed one. Call me Sin-derella. Your bags were lined up by the door. Dad yelled, “Take your girls and LEAVE!” “You’re not welcome here anymore.” “Bye-bye, y’all...” Before sunrise, I drove my car. Out to that place off of Route 9. Held those boys’ clothes in my hand. Tossed those suckers and watched them fly. Every single shirt now lay in the dirt, On the road where they left me that night. Call me Sin-derella... Yeah... I think that name fits just right.
