Since when / have I become / a parody of myself? I’m supposed to fade away / disappear / before/into the twilight of my life / yet here, I remain / tired bones of a dinosaur / propped up as a curiosity / in the museum of… / at best, mediocrity. Sounds sad, I suppose / But since when / have I become / a tragedy of a hero I once knew / the invincible Superman (or Wonder Woman) / or a courtier / fallen out of favor? I’m fading away, I know / And I’m wondering / out loud / How do I end this comedy / and keep myself proud?! For romantics everywhere Who have never been kissed Love, a dream or a dare, Or a chance that you’ve missed. Tales as old as time Poems with plenty of rhymes Take it all in, dear friends May our dreams never ever end. And one day unexpectedly Cupid’s arrows leave you in a haze Roll with it, sweetest hearts Have a Happy Valentine’s Day! Love lasts forever. We’re meant for one another. Till death us do part. Dear hearts, our presumptions. Soulmates. Mistakes. Wishes made upon a star. Must be fate. Apologies, appreciated. Just a bit late. It’s fine, dear hearts. Such is life. Memories that stay. Memories that fade away. For old times’ sake, dear hearts. Happy Valentine’s Day! Just as you are / You’re perfect for me / Just as I am / I’m perfect for someone else, perhaps. / Love isn’t the way it should be, sometimes / Life almost always is. // Like seasons follow one another / New Year’s coming ‘round / I hope the time will come / For all those loves lost to be found. / Then again… / Just as we are / As part of a grander scheme / Or at least, a simple age-old theme / It’s perfect, I say / Perfect strangers as we are. ///
