[VERSE 1] Leon’s breathing rough in the corner seat, someone’s holding pressure, someone checks the street. The Kid can’t stop watching the door behind, half expecting BurgerCorp to come through it any time. They got him out. Somehow, they got him clear. Now the rush drains off and leaves the fear. A few hours ago they were beneath concern. Now they’ve given something huge a reason to turn. [CHORUS] Everything is different now. Morning comes and BurgerCorp still owns the town. The lights come on like yesterday somehow, but everything is different now. [VERSE 2] He thinks about the night the gunfire came, how fast a shift at work became something else entirely. Then that catering job, carrying plates upstairs, listening to people speak like the ones below weren’t worth a care. That was how the world worked. You learned where you stood and stayed alive inside it. BurgerCorp wasn’t an enemy back then. It was the place that owned the job, the food, the building, the rules. Something too big to hate properly. [CHORUS] Everything is different now. They’ll open every door and keep the whole thing running. People will clock in without knowing what went down, but everything is different now. [VERSE 3] They went in because Leon was still alive, not because anybody knew what came after. One bad plan became another bad plan, and somehow all of them kept moving forward. Now the thing that filled the whole horizon has finally turned its head. That thought lands harder than the rescue did. Before tonight, being ignored was protection. Now somebody up there knows these people underneath fought back. [BRIDGE] The Kid looks at the other and tries to imagine tomorrow. Nobody has a plan for that. There’s only the quiet after the noise, and the sick feeling that what they started is already bigger than the room they’re sitting in. [FINAL CHORUS] Everything is different now. They didn’t break the system or bring BurgerCorp down. They went in for one man and somehow got him out. Everything is different now. [OUTRO] Morning crawls across the roofs. People head to work. The screens come alive. BurgerCorp opens for business. From the street, nothing has changed. The Kid knows better now.
