[Verse] City lights reflect in her eyes tonight Underneath the glow of electric twilight Halo of smoke as she flicks her cigarette A thousand secrets in her silhouette [Chorus] We’re chasing neon dreams in the dark Every heartbeat leaves a spark Lost in a rhythm that never sleeps Drowning in the shadows that we keep [Verse 2] Leather jacket draped Her perfume’s wild Danger stitched into her crooked smile She whispers sins like a whispered prayer Still I follow her I don’t even care [Chorus] We’re chasing neon dreams in the dark Every heartbeat leaves a spark Lost in a rhythm that never sleeps Drowning in the shadows that we keep [Bridge] The clock unwinds but we stand still Her touch is fire and I’ve lost my will Every step closer is a step to the edge But I can’t stop falling off that ledge [Chorus] We’re chasing neon dreams in the dark Every heartbeat leaves a spark Lost in a rhythm that never sleeps Drowning in the shadows that we keep
