Tudor Rickards’ Robotic Games (Grunge) by GM Jon
The world of work is quietly shifting Let the machines do the heavy lifting. When your brain seizes up in frustration Let a machine do the computation Why the concern if a robot’s pace Outruns that of the human race? Welcome to the revolution It’s another step in evolution I said … The world of work is quietly shifting Let the machines do the heavy lifting At the first Robotic Games Came the first of human shames Giving humans a painful jolt When a robot ran faster than Usain Bolt Robots marching in formation An army to protect the nation Guided only by computer A frightening glimpse into the future Mirror mirror on the wall Who is the fastest of them all? Was it Trueman or Frank Tyson? Was it the Hoover or the Dyson Will we witness some time hence Robots in Iron Man events? Or when it comes to the final crunch Will robots find the winning punch? Ill-serviced by the selfish gene How shall we win against a machine? Maybe it’s going out of fashion But only we can show compassion Yes only we can show compassion.
