[Verse 1] You kept that weight too long Held it in your hands Like sand in a glass Trying to make it stay It slipped through anyway Left dust on your palms You can wash that off You can walk away [Pre-Chorus] If it keeps you up If it cuts you deep You don't owe the hurt A place to sleep [Chorus] Let it go, let it be Let it go, set it free What was heavy Ain't yours to keep Let it go, let it be Let it go, set it free You don't have to Bleed to breathe [Verse 2] That door stays in the past With the chain still on You don't need to knock On a house long gone Let the old words fade Like a paper stain What they said about you Was never your name [Pre-Chorus] If it keeps you up If it cuts you deep You don't owe the hurt A place to sleep [Chorus] Let it go, let it be Let it go, set it free What was heavy Ain't yours to keep Let it go, let it be Let it go, set it free You don't have to Bleed to breathe [Bridge] Take one slow step Out of that room No more chains on your heart No more smoke in you [Chorus] Let it go, let it be Let it go, set it free What was heavy Ain't yours to keep Let it go, let it be Let it go, set it free You don't have to Bleed to breathe
